      (Stop and Start System Cancel Switch Assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      6 (ECU) - 3 (E) Pushed Below 1 Ω
      6 (ECU) - 3 (E) Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the cancel switch.

      Component without harness connected

      (Stop and Start System Cancel Switch Assembly)

      Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the switch and check the illumination condition of the indicator light.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 5 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → 4 (ILL-)

      		 Illuminates

      Battery positive (+) → 2 (IND+)

      Battery negative (-) → 7 (IND-)

      		 Illuminates

      Tech Tips


      • If the positive (+) lead and the negative (-) lead are incorrectly connected, the indicator light will not illuminate.

      • If the voltage is too low, the indicator light will not illuminate.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the cancel switch.
