STARTER (w/ Stop And Start System) REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 clips <B>.

    2. Remove the 2 <A> clips and separate the 2 cables from the transaxle.

  3. REMOVE CONTROL CABLE BRACKET

      Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and the control cable bracket.

  4. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 compression springs, and disconnect the front exhaust pipe assembly from the tail exhaust pipe assembly.

      Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 compression springs, and the front exhaust pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold.

  5. REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER

      Disengage the claw by pulling it outward and remove the flywheel housing side cover.

  6. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

      Open the terminal cap.

    2. Remove the nut and disconnect terminal 30.

    3. Disconnect the connector.

      Remove the 2 bolts and the starter assembly.
