GLOW PLUG INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL GLOW PLUG ASSEMBLY


    1. A011B8Y

      Clean the glow plug installation holes in the cylinder head.

    2. Using a deep socket wrench 10 mm, install the 4 glow plugs.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 GLOW PLUG CONNECTOR


    1. A0119PT

      Install the No. 1 glow plug connector with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      2.2 N*m  { 22 kgf*cm, 19 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the glow terminal with the nut.

      Torque:
      4.0 N*m  { 41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Install the glow terminal in the correct direction.

    3. A0117ZC

      Install the 5 screw grommets.

      Note

      Push the screw grommet into the threaded portion of the glow plug by hand, and then turn it clockwise.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. A0118OA

      Install the vacuum switching valve with the bolt.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the air cleaner hose.

      Note

      Position the clip so that the claws are centered over the paint mark on the hose.

  5. INSTALL ENGINE COVER ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 3 claws and install the engine cover.

  6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A011AXX

      Install the air cleaner case with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A011BX8

      Install the air cleaner filter element.

      Note

      Engage the air cleaner filter element protrusion with the air cleaner case groove.

  8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP ASSEMBLY


    1. A0119FRE01

      Engage the 2 claws and 2 clamps and install the air cleaner cap.

    2. Connect the connector and 2 wire harness clamps.

      Connect the air cleaner hose to the air cleaner cap.

      Tech Tips


      • The clamp should contact the air cleaner hose stopper.

      • Make sure that the air cleaner hose recession is securely engaged with the air cleaner cap protrusion.
