ENGINE OIL COOLER REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER

    1. Remove the 4 bolts, 4 clips and the engine under cover.

  2. DRAIN ENGINE OIL


    1. Remove the oil filler cap.

    2. Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil into a container.

    3. Clean the oil drain plug.

    4. Install the oil drain plug with a new gasket.

      Torque:
      38 N*m  { 387 kgf*cm, 28 ft.*lbf }
  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    CAUTION:

    To avoid the danger of being burned, do not remove the reserve tank cap sub-assembly while the engine and reserve tank assembly are still hot. Thermal expansion will cause hot engine coolant and steam to blow out from the radiator assembly.


    1. Loosen the radiator drain cock plug.

      Tech Tips

      Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to the regulations in your area.

    2. Remove the reserve tank cap.

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 2 OIL COOLER HOSE

    1. Disconnect the No. 2 oil cooler hose.

  5. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the oil cooler hose.

  6. REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, and spacer.

    2. Remove the oil cooler from the oil filter bracket.

      Remove the 2 O-rings and gasket.

  7. REMOVE OIL FILTER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the oil filter bracket from the oil pan.

    2. A011A6G

      Remove the 2 O-rings from the oil pan.
