DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR (for DPF) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

  1. INSPECT DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

The type of ignition switch on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicle. For the expressions used in this section, refer to the "Expressions of Ignition Switch" precaution Click here.

    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / DPF Differential Pressure.

    5. Disconnect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose from the sensor.

    7. Check the pressure value of the sensor.

      Standard Pressure
Approximately the same pressure as the applied pressure is indicated.

      Note

Perform the inspection within the range of 0 kPa to 98 kPa (0 kg/cm2 to 1 kg/cm2).

If the result is not as specified, check the sensor circuit Click here.

    8. Connect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose to the sensor.
