EGR COOLER INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL EGR PIPE CONNECTOR


    1. Install the 2 stud bolts onto the EGR with cooler pipe assembly.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the 2 new EGR cooler gaskets and EGR by-pass valve to the EGR with cooler pipe assembly.

    3. Install the EGR pipe connector with the bolt and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL EGR WITH COOLER PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install 2 new gaskets.

    2. Install the EGR cooler assembly with the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }

    3. Install the No. 1 vacuum transmitting pipe sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

      Connect the vacuum hose, No. 2 oil cooler hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose.

    5. Engage the 2 wire harness clamps and connect the 2 connectors.

    6. Install the wire harness with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    7. Engage the wire harness clamp and connect the 2 connectors.

  3. INSTALL ENGINE COVER ASSEMBLY


    1. A011ACJ

      Engage the 3 claws and install the engine cover.

  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the air cleaner hose.

      Note

      Position the clip so that the claws are centered over the paint mark on the hose.

  5. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

  6. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
