FUEL FILTER REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE COWL PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the cowl panel sub-assembly Click here.

  2. REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A011ADE

      Remove the 2 nuts and the battery clamp.

  3. REMOVE BATTERY

  4. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY


    1. A011B6X

      Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. A011A0C

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    4. A0119HL

      Disconnect the 2 fuel hose clamps from the fuel filter.

    5. Disconnect the 2 fuel hoses.

    6. A011BBN

      Loosen the fuel filter drain plug to drain fuel.

    7. Tighten the fuel filter drain plug.

    8. A0118XZ

      Remove the 2 nuts and fuel filter.

  5. REMOVE FUEL FILTER SUPPORT


    1. A0119UD

      Disconnect the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the bolt and fuel filter support.

  6. REMOVE FUEL HEATER ASSEMBLY


    1. A0118DO

      Remove the 2 screws and fuel heater assembly.

  7. REMOVE LEVEL WARNING SWITCH


    1. A011ARJ

      Clamp the fuel filter cap of the fuel filter in a soft jaw vise.

    2. Using a water pump pliers, remove the level warning switch.

      Note

      Do not damage the level warning switch.

  8. REMOVE FUEL FILTER DRAIN PLUG


    1. A0117K7

      Remove the fuel filter drain plug.

    2. Remove the O-ring.

  9. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ELEMENT ASSEMBLY

      Using SST, remove the fuel filter element assembly.
