FUEL PUMP DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE FUEL PUMP HARNESS

    Note

    Do not disconnect the tube shown in the illustration.

      Disconnect the 2 fuel pump harness connectors and remove the fuel pump harness.

      Note

      Do not damage the wire harness.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL SUCTION SUPPORT

      *1 Protective tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 fuel suction support.

  3. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disconnect the pressure regulator from the fuel suction plate.

      Note

      Slowly pull out the fuel pressure regulator assembly, because the O-ring is firmly installed between the fuel suction plate and the fuel pressure regulator.

      Remove the 2 O-rings from the pressure regulator.

  4. REMOVE FUEL PUMP FILTER

      *1 Protective tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the fuel pump filter.

      Remove the O-ring from the fuel pump.

  5. REMOVE FUEL PUMP

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws.

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and remove the fuel pump.

      Remove the O-ring from the fuel suction plate.

    4. A011BOH

      Remove the fuel pump spacer from the fuel pump.

    5. A0119XE

      Disengage the claw.

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the jet pump from the fuel pump.

    7. A01172P

      Remove the O-ring from the jet pump.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL TANK CUSHION

      Remove the No. 2 fuel tank cushion.
