FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD


    1. Remove the intake manifold Click here.

  2. REMOVE EFI FUEL PIPE CLAMP

      Remove the EFI fuel pipe clamp.

  3. SEPARATE FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Pinch the fuel tube retainer to release it as shown in the illustration, and then disconnect the fuel tube connector.

      Note


      • Check for dirt or other foreign matter on the parts to be disconnected and clean them if necessary.

      • If the connector and the pipe are stuck, push and pull on the connector to release them while pinching the retainer. Pull the connector out of the pipe carefully.

      • Do not use any tools.

      • Check the sealing surfaces of the disconnected parts, and clean them if necessary.

      • Protect the contact surface by covering it with a plastic bag.

  4. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 3 connectors and disengage the 3 harness clamps.

    2. A0119ZX

      Disconnect the 3 fuel injector connectors.

    3. A011AQY

      Remove the 2 bolts and fuel delivery pipe together with the 3 fuel injectors.

      Note

      Do not drop the fuel injectors when removing the delivery pipe.

  5. REMOVE FUEL PIPE INSULATOR


    1. A0118IV

      Remove the 2 fuel pipe insulators from the fuel delivery pipe.

  6. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A011A0M

      Remove the 3 fuel injectors from the fuel delivery pipe.

  7. REMOVE INJECTOR VIBRATION INSULATOR


    1. A0118JT

      Remove the 3 injector vibration insulators from the cylinder head.
