REAR CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY (for CVT)


    1. Remove the continuously variable transaxle assembly Click here.

  2. REMOVE CLUTCH DISC ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)


    1. Remove the clutch disc assembly Click here.

  3. REMOVE DRIVE PLATE AND RING GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (for CVT)

      Using SST, hold the crankshaft.

      09960-10010   ( 09962-01000, 09963-01000 )
    2. A011BN4

      Remove the 6 bolts and the rear spacer, drive plate and the front spacer.

  4. REMOVE FLYWHEEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

      Using SST, hold the crankshaft.

      09960-10010   ( 09962-01000, 09963-01000 )
    2. A01199N

      Remove the 6 bolts and the flywheel sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE ENGINE REAR OIL SEAL

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a knife, cut off the oil seal lip.

    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pry out the oil seal.

      Note

      After removing the oil seal, check the crankshaft for damage.

      If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
