THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    CAUTION:

    To avoid the danger of being burned, do not remove the water filler cap sub-assembly while the engine and radiator assembly are still hot. Thermal expansion will cause hot engine coolant and steam to blow out from the radiator assembly.

    *1 Water Filler Cap Sub-assembly *2 Radiator Drain Cock Plug
    *3 Air Bleed Valve - -

    1. Loosen the radiator drain cock plug.

      Tech Tips

      Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to the regulations in your area.

    2. Remove the water filler cap sub-assembly.

  2. SEPARATE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the ventilation hose.

    2. A011BK2

      Loosen the hose clamp and separate the air cleaner hose assembly.

  3. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE NO.2

      Disconnect the water by-pass hoses No. 2 from the throttle with motor body.

  4. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY

      Separate the water by-pass hoses from the hose clamp.

    2. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the water by-pass hoses assembly from the throttle with motor body.

  5. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the throttle with motor body connector.

    2. A0117FP

      Remove the 4 bolts and the throttle with motor body.

    3. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
