  • Centering bolts are used to mount the door hinge onto the vehicle body and door. The door cannot be adjusted with the centering bolts in. Substitute standard bolts (with washers) for the centering bolts when making adjustments.

  1. INSPECT BACK DOOR


    1. Check that the clearance measurements are within the standard ranges.

  2. REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER


    1. A0116Z2

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear deck trim cover.

  3. ADJUST BACK DOOR

    1. Adjust the door position.


      1. Horizontally and vertically adjust the door by loosening the door side hinge bolts.

        Torque:
        12 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }
    2. A01172B

      Adjust the striker position.


      1. Adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting bolts and hitting the striker with a plastic hammer.

      2. Tighten the striker mounting bolts after the adjustment.

        Torque:
        12 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }
  4. INSTALL REAR DECK TRIM COVER


    1. Engage the 6 claws and install the rear deck trim cover.

    2. Install the 2 clips.
