REAR WIPER MOTOR INSPECTION

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Wiper Motor)

      Check the operation.


      1. w/ Intermittent:

        Connect the positive battery (+) lead to terminal 4 (+B) and the negative battery (-) lead to terminal 3 (+1) and 5 (E), and check that the rear wiper motor operates.

        OK
        The rear wiper motor operates.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the motor.

        Connect the positive battery (+) lead to terminal 3 (+B) and the negative battery (-) lead to terminal 1 (+1) and 2 (E), and check that the rear wiper motor operates.

        The rear wiper motor operates.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the motor.

      Check the intermittent operation.

      w/ Intermittent:


      1. Connect the positive battery (+) lead to terminal 4 (+B) and the negative battery (-) lead to terminal 2 (C1) and 5 (E), and check that the rear wiper motor operates.

        Standard
        Rear wiper motor operates intermittently for 9 to 15 seconds.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the motor.
