WINDOW DEFOGGER SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

    1. Disconnect the D15 air conditioning amplifier connector.

    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      D15-1 (IG+) - D15-14 (GND) Y - W-B Ignition power supply Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V

      D15-21 (B) - D15-14 (GND) V - W-B Battery power source Always 11 to 14 V

      • If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the air conditioning amplifier connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      • If the result is not as specified, the air conditioning amplifier may have a malfunction.

  2. CHECK INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (for Auto Air Conditioning System)

    1. Disconnect the D5 instrument cluster finish panel assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Terminal No. (Symbol) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      D5-5 (IG+) - D5-4 (GND) P - W-B Ignition power supply Ignition switch off Below 1 V
      Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      D5-4 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

      • If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the instrument cluster finish panel assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      • If the result is not as specified, the instrument cluster finish panel assembly may have a malfunction.

  3. CHECK NO. 3 HEATER CONTROL (except Auto Air Conditioning System)

    1. Disconnect the D8 No. 3 heater control connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Reconnect the No. 3 heater control connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
