DESCRIPTION

If the AUTO UP/DOWN function does not operate, the cause may be one or more of the following:

  2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION


    1. Check that the manual UP/DOWN function using the power window regulator switch can operate the front passenger side door power window Click here.

      OK
      Manual UP/DOWN function operates.

  3. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (P-DOOR MOTOR)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / P-Door Motor / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the tester, read the Data List.

      P-Door Motor
      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      P Door P/W Auto SW Front passenger side power window auto UP/DOWN switch signal / ON or OFF

      ON: Front passenger side power window auto UP/DOWN switch operated

      OFF: Front passenger side power window switch not operated

      The tester display changes when front passenger side power window switch is operated.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR)

      *3 for LHD
      *4 for RHD

      Disconnect the E2 or F2 power window regulator switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the E4 or F4 front power window regulator motor assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E2-8 (AUTO) - E4-4 (AUTO) Always Below 1 Ω
      E2-8 (AUTO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F2-8 (AUTO) - F4-4 (AUTO) Always Below 1 Ω
      F2-8 (AUTO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Reconnect the front power window regulator motor assembly connector.

    5. Reconnect the power window regulator switch assembly connector.

  5. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    3. Reinstall the power window regulator switch assembly.
