FRONT EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the air conditioning unit assembly Click here.

  2. REMOVE NO. 4 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the air duct.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (except Cold Area Specification Vehicles)

    *1 Protective tape

    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and remove the air duct.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (except Cold Area Specification Vehicles)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 1 side.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles)

    *1 Protective tape

    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and remove the air duct.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles)

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 1 side.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER

    1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the cooler cover.

  8. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the heater radiator unit.

  9. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE

    1. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts and detach the cooler expansion valve.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the cooler evaporator.

  10. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the clip and air conditioning amplifier.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL MOUNTING BRACKET

    1. Remove the screw and instrument panel mounting bracket.

  12. REMOVE AIR FILTER CASE

    1. Disengage the claw and air filter case.

  13. REMOVE CLEAN AIR FILTER

    1. Remove the clean air filter.

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disengage the 3 clamps, and remove the cooler evaporator.

      Using a knife, cut off the protector, as shown in the illustration.

      Disengage the 10 claws and remove the heater case (lower case).

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the heater case (pipe cover).

      Remove the cooler evaporator with cooler thermistor.

    6. Remove the 2 O-rings from the cooler evaporator.

  15. REMOVE FRONT EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR (NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR)

    1. Remove the front evaporator temperature sensor from the cooler evaporator.
