COMPRESSOR (for 1NR-FE) INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY

    A01180ZE12

    1. Check the resistance of the cooler compressor solenoid.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1(SOL+) - 2 (SOL-) 20°C (68°F) 10.1 to 11.1 Ω

        If the resistance is not as specified, replace the compressor.

    2. A01180ZE13

      Check the resistance of the magnet clutch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3(MG+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or more

        If the resistance is not as specified, replace the compressor.

    3. A01180ZE14

      Check the magnet clutch operation.


      1. Confirm that the magnet clutch hub and magnet clutch rotor lock when the battery positive lead is connected to terminal 3(MG+) of the magnet clutch, and the negative lead is connected to the body ground.

        If the operation is not as specified, replace the magnet clutch assembly.
