COMPRESSOR (for 1NR-FE) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR BRACKET


    1. A0117KT

      Disconnect the ground wire clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 connector.

    3. A0117EE

      Remove the bolt and remove the cooler compressor bracket.

  2. REMOVE MAGNET CLUTCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Clamp the cooler compressor in a vise.

    2. Using SST, hold the magnet clutch hub.

    3. Remove the bolt, magnet clutch hub and magnet clutch washer(s).

      Tech Tips

      There is no set number of magnet clutch washers since they are used for adjusting.

    4. A011BL8

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and the magnet clutch rotor.

      Note

      Do not damage the seal cover of the bearing when removing the snap ring.

    5. A0119JJ

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnet clutch stator.
