REAR BUMPER (for Sedan) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE NO. 2 FRAME WIRE (w/ Rear Fog Light)


    1. for LHD, w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Disconnect the 4 ultrasonic sensor connectors and rear fog light connector.

      2. Detach the 3 clamps and remove the No. 2 frame wire.

    2. for LHD, w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Disconnect the rear fog light connector.

      2. Detach the 5 clamps and remove the No. 2 frame wire.

    3. for RHD, w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Disconnect the 4 ultrasonic sensor connectors and rear fog light connector.

      2. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the No. 2 frame wire.

    4. for RHD, w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Disconnect the rear fog light connector.

      2. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the No. 2 frame wire.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. for Wagon:

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

        Detach the 2 clamps.

      2. A00OMQU

        Disconnect the connector.

      3. A00ON9S

        Widen the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer, detach the 2 claws of the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor and remove it.

    2. for Sedan:

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

        Widen the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer, detach the 2 claws of the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor and remove it.

  3. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

      for Wagon:

      Detach the 2 claws of the ultrasonic sensor clip from the ultrasonic sensor retainer and remove the ultrasonic sensor clip.

      Detach the 2 claws of the ultrasonic sensor clip from the ultrasonic sensor retainer and remove the ultrasonic sensor clip.

  4. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

      for Wagon:

      Detach the 2 claws of the ultrasonic sensor clip from the ultrasonic sensor retainer and remove the ultrasonic sensor clip.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other ultrasonic sensor clip.

      for Sedan:

      Detach the 2 claws of the ultrasonic sensor clip from the ultrasonic sensor retainer and remove the ultrasonic sensor clip.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other ultrasonic sensor clip.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

      for Wagon:

      Detach the claw from the rear bumper cover and remove the ultrasonic sensor retainer.

    2. A00ONH1

      for Sedan:

      Detach the claw from the rear bumper cover and remove the ultrasonic sensor retainer.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. A00OMVS

      for Wagon:

      Detach the 2 claws from the rear bumper cover and remove the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

    2. A00OK9L

      for Sedan:

      Detach the claw from the rear bumper cover and remove the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

  7. REMOVE NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)

      for Wagon:

      Detach the claw from the rear bumper cover and remove the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

    2. A00OK9L

      for Sedan:

      Detach the claw from the rear bumper cover and remove the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER COVER RH


    1. A00OVMB

      Remove the 2 screws and rear bumper upper cover.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CUSHION


    1. A00OVNB

      Remove the rear bumper cushion.

  10. REMOVE REAR FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Rear Fog Light)


    1. A00ORMG

      w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Remove the 2 screws.

      2. Detach the 2 guides and remove the rear fog light assembly LH.

      3. Disconnect the connector.

    2. A00ORZ2

      w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Detach the 2 clamps.

      2. Remove the 2 screws.

      3. Detach the 2 guides and remove the rear fog light assembly LH.

      4. Disconnect the connector.

  11. REMOVE REAR FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Rear Fog Light)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Rear Fog Light)


    1. A00OSZX

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the reflex reflector.

  13. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Rear Fog Light)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD LH

      Remove the rear bumper pad.

  15. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE REAR BUMPER GUARD


    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the 21 claws and remove the rear bumper guard.
