BACK-UP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Sedan) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR ASSIST GRIP

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. A00OJCX

      Remove the 2 screws and assist grip.

  2. REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP


    1. A00OK3HE01

      Pull the assist grip in the direction shown by the arrow labeled (1) to disconnect the grip.

    2. Pull out the assist grip to remove it.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER

      Using a clip remover, remove the 10 clips and cover.

  4. REMOVE REAR LIGHT LENS AND BODY LH


    1. A00OVXY

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 4 nuts and rear light lens and body LH.

  5. REMOVE REAR LIGHT PACKING LH


    1. Remove the rear light packing LH.

      Note

      Be sure to remove the gasket completely from the body.

  6. REMOVE BACK UP LIGHT BULB


    1. A00OTIQ

      Turn the rear light socket and wire LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and remove the socket.

    2. Remove the back up light bulb from the rear light socket and wire LH.

  7. REMOVE REAR LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE LH


    1. A00OSP0

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the rear light socket and wire LH.

    3. Disconnect the connector.
