DESCRIPTION

The turn signal flasher receives a turn signal light information signal from the headlight dimmer switch assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (TURN SIGNAL SWITCH)

      Remove the headlight dimmer switch assembly Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      13 (TR) - 12 (E) Turn signal switch in right turn position Below 1 Ω
      Turn signal switch in left turn position 10 kΩ or higher
      15 (TL) - 12 (E) Turn signal switch in left turn position Below 1 Ω
      Turn signal switch in right turn position 10 kΩ or higher

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH - TURN SIGNAL FLASHER)

      Disconnect the D7 headlight dimmer switch assembly connector.

    2. for LHD:

      Remove the turn signal flasher assembly.

    3. for RHD:

      Disconnect the D106 turn signal flasher assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D7-13 (TR) - 6 (ER) Always Below 1 Ω
      D7-15 (TL) - 5 (EL) Always Below 1 Ω
      D7-12 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      D7-13 (TR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D7-15 (TL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D7-13 (TR) - D106-6 (ER) Always Below 1 Ω
      D7-15 (TL) - D106-5 (EL) Always Below 1 Ω
      D7-12 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      D7-13 (TR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D7-15 (TL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
