BACK DOOR DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE UPPER BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

      Detach the 4 clips and remove the back door trim panel.

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH


    1. A003E8M

      Detach the 2 clips and claw, and remove the back door side garnish.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH

      Detach the 2 clips and claw, and remove the back door side garnish.

  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY


    1. A003BFT

      Detach the 14 clips and remove the back door trim board.

  5. REMOVE DOOR PULL HANDLE


    1. A003CTL

      Detach the 4 claws by pushing them from the inside of the panel and remove the door pull handles.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for all door pull handles.

  6. REMOVE REAR SPOILER

    *1 Grommet

    1. Remove the 2 grommets and 4 nuts.

    2. Disconnect the connector and clamp.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the rear spoiler.

    4. Detach the 3 clips and remove the rear spoiler.

  7. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. A003DAF

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and stop light.

  8. REMOVE REAR WASHER NOZZLE


    1. A003DII

      Disconnect the hose.

    2. A003DD2

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the washer nozzle.

  9. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM


    1. A003EDX

      Open the wiper arm head cap.

    2. A003DT2

      Remove the nut and rear wiper arm.

  10. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A003BO9

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and rear wiper motor assembly.

  11. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET

      Remove the wiper motor grommet.

  12. REMOVE BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. A003AR3

      Remove the 3 bolts and back door lock assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

  13. REMOVE REAR LIGHT LENS AND BODY LH


    1. A003EAK

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 4 nuts and rear light lens and body.

  14. REMOVE REAR LIGHT LENS AND BODY RH


    1. A003DY8

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 4 nuts and rear light lens and body.

  15. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE

    1. Put protective tape around the back door garnish outside.

    2. Remove the 6 nuts.

    3. A003E0L

      Detach the clip and remove the back door garnish outside.

      Tech Tips

      Detach the clip from the backside of the back door garnish outside.

  16. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. A003EEM

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 lights.

  17. REMOVE BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. A003DKT

      Disconnect the connector and remove the back door opener switch.

  18. REMOVE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear View Monitor System)


    1. A003ELO

      Remove the 2 nuts and camera.

    2. A003DGZ

      Disconnect the connector.

  19. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY ASSEMBLY LH

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 stop rings as shown in the illustration, and then remove the back door stay.

      CAUTION:

      Remove the door stay while supporting the back door with one hand.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  20. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE UPPER BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY BRACKET LH

      Remove the 2 bolts and upper back door damper stay bracket.

  22. REMOVE UPPER BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY BOLT (for LH Side)

      Remove the back door stay bolt.

  24. REMOVE BACK DOOR STAY BOLT (for RH Side)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
