FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER (for Manual Seat) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH

    Note

    When replacing either the front seat cushion heater assembly or separate type front seat cushion pad due to a malfunction, be sure to replace both of them with new parts.


    1. Remove the peeling paper from a new front seat cushion heater assembly LH.

      Install the front seat cushion heater assembly LH to a new separate type front seat cushion pad.

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A00ORYK

      Attach the hooks to install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When attaching the hooks, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  3. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Attach the hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Connect the connector.

      w/ Lumbar Support:

      Attach the wire harness clamp.

      for Front Passenger Side:

      Attach the 2 hooks to connect the connector holder.

    5. w/ Seat Heater System:

        Connect the connector.

        Install a new cable tie.

    6. for Driver Side:


      1. A00OR8R

        Attach the 2 claws to install the vertical adjuster handle bracket with connector link.

        Connect the connector link and install the clip.

    7. A00OUCW

      Using a 15 mm socket wrench, install the reclining handle with the nut.

      Torque:
      25 N*m  { 255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }

      Install the spring.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips


    • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

    • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

      Install the front seat inner belt with the nut.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 418 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

    2. for Driver Side:

      Connect the connector and attach the clamps.

    3. for Passenger Side:

      Connect the connectors and attach the clamps.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

      *2 Wire Harness Clamp

      Attach the wire harness clamp and hook to install the front seat inner cushion shield LH.

    2. Install the 2 screws.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      w/ Lumbar Support:

      Connect the connector.

    2. A00OU31

      Attach the claw and hook to install the front seat cushion shield LH.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

      Attach the 2 rubber bands.

  7. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH


    1. A00OTKH

      Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

  8. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for Driver Side)

      Install the vertical adjusting handle LH with the 2 screws.

  9. INSTALL VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB CAP (for Driver Side)

      Attach the 3 claws to install the vertical seat adjuster knob cap.

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  11. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

    Click here

  12. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the seat heater operation.


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. Operate the seat heater switch on.

      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.

    2. Check the lumbar support operation.


      1. Operate the lumbar front power seat switch and check that the lumbar support moves in both directions.
