FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Front Vertical) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Front Vertical)


    1. Install a nose piece to an air riveter or hand riveter. Then insert the mandrel part of a new φ4 mm rivet into the nose piece.

      *1 Air Riveter

      Using the air riveter or hand riveter, install the motor with 2 new rivets.

      Tech Tips

      If the rivet cannot be cut, pull it once and cut it.

      Note


      • A00OLCME11

        Do not pry the rivet with the riveter, as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.

      • A00OMQVE02

        Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the bracket.

      • Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the bracket.

      • Do not leave any space between the rivet head and bracket.

      • A00OJURE02

        Do not leave any space between the motor and bracket. Firmly hold together the 2 items while installing the rivet.

      *1 Air Riveter

      Using the air riveter or hand riveter, install the motor with bracket with 2 new rivets.

      Tech Tips

      If the rivet cannot be cut, pull it once and cut it.

        Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the bracket.

      • Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the motor with bracket.

      • Do not leave any space between the rivet head and motor with bracket.

        Do not leave any space between the motor with bracket and front seat adjuster. Firmly hold together the 2 items while installing the rivet.

      *1 Air Riveter

      Using the air riveter or hand riveter, install 4 new rivets.

      Tech Tips

      If the rivet cannot be cut, pull it once and cut it.

        Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the front seat adjuster.

      • Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the front seat adjuster.

      • Do not leave any space between the rivet head and front seat adjuster.

        Do not leave any space between the motor with bracket and front seat adjuster. Firmly hold together the 2 items while installing the rivet.

    5. A00OJWA

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the bolt.

      Torque:
      25 N*m  { 255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }
    6. A00ONCU

      Install the shield bracket with the 3 screws.

    7. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Attach the hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

    2. Connect the connectors.

      for Driver Side:

      Attach the wire harness clamp.

    4. for Passenger Side:


      1. A010LZM

        Attach the 2 hooks to install the connector holder.

    5. A010KJ1

      Install a new cable tie.

    6. A010IVJ

      Connect the connector.

    7. A010GND

      Attach the 2 rubber bands.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips


    • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

    • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

      *1 Protruding Part

      Install the front seat inner belt with the nut.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 418 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

    2. for Driver Side:

      Connect the connector and attach the clamps.

    3. for Passenger Side:

      Connect the connectors and attach the clamps.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

      *2 Wire Harness Clamp

      Attach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Attach the hook to install the cushion shield.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

  5. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH

      Connect the connector.

    2. Install the switch with the 3 screws.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH WITH FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD

      for Driver Side:

      Connect the connector.

    2. A010L01

      Attach the hook to install the front seat cushion shield LH with front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

    4. A010KW3

      Attach the 2 claws and install the 2 screws.

  7. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. A010LMY

      Attach the 4 claws to install the knob.

  8. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

      Attach the 2 claws to install the knob.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front seat assembly Click here.

  10. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check the SRS warning light Click here.

  11. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the front seat assembly Click here.

    2. Check the seat heater operation.


      1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      2. Operate the seat heater switch ON.

      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
