FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) REASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR UPPER SEAT TRACK COVER


    1. A010KSH

      Attach the 3 claws to install the cover.

  2. INSTALL REAR UPPER SEAT TRACK COVER


    1. A010LAA

      Attach the 3 claws to install the cover.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A010HVY

      Using a T50 "TORX" wrench, install the seat adjuster with the 4 "TORX" bolts.

      Torque:
      35 N*m  { 357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf }

    2. Attach the 4 wire harness clamps.

      Attach the connector.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE LH


    1. A010M5B

      Attach the 3 claws to install the seat wire.

    2. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps and connector.

    3. Connect the connector.

      Attach the wire harness clamp.

    5. A010JK3

      Attach the wire harness clamp.

  5. INSTALL POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)


    1. A010KHA

      Install the position control ECU with the 2 bolts.

    2. Connect the connectors.

  6. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH


    1. A010K81

      Attach the claw to install the seat climate control controller.

    2. Connect the connector.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. Install front seat airbag assembly LH with 2 new nuts.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

    2. Attach the 4 harness clamps and connect the connector clamp.

  8. INSTALL POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Reclining)


    1. A003BS9

      Remove the 2 holders together with the 2 inner reclining rods.

    2. A003C2M

      Remove the inner reclining rod and push nut.

    3. A003CBJ

      Remove the inner reclining rod and push nut.

    4. A003E0Y

      Install the 2 holders.

    5. A003BHA

      Install the push nut.

      Note

      Make sure the direction of the push nut is as shown in the illustration.

    6. A003CEZ

      Install the push nut.

      Note

      Make sure the direction of the push nut is as shown in the illustration.

    7. A003AUK

      Temporarily install the power seat motor with the bolt.

    8. A003AWK

      Temporarily install the inner reclining rod.

    9. A003C1V

      Temporarily install the inner reclining rod.

    10. A003DSF

      Push in the 2 inner reclining rods in alternating passes to install them

      Note

      Make sure that the holder does not interfere with the motor or front seatback assembly.

    11. Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, tighten the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Attach the 8 hooks to install the seatback spring.

      for Driver Side:

      Connect the connectors.

    14. A003BPC

      for Passenger Side:

      Connect the connector.

    15. A003DVB

      Install the seatback pad.

  9. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. A010HN1

      Attach the 2 hooks.

    2. A010GC3

      Attach the 2 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.

    3. A010GCD

      Install the front seat headrest.

    4. A010GJFE01

      Install the wire in the order shown in the illustration.

    5. A010HE4

      Attach the 2 claws to attach the wire.

    6. A010G4P

      Attach the 2 claws to install the active headrest lower unit.

    7. A010IKT

      Pull the wire and connect the end of the wire to the active headrest lower unit.

    8. A010HQA

      Install a new cable tie.

    9. A010L81

      Attach the 2 hooks and close the seatback mat.

      *3 Hog Ring Pliers

      Attach the 3 hooks.

    11. Using hog ring pliers, install the upper part of the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

    12. A010IWX

      Attach the seatback cover bracket with the screw.

    13. A010L5V

      Pass the 2 straps through the separate type front seatback pad holes to the backside.

      Attach the 2 hooks to install the 2 straps.

    15. A010JHK

      Attach the 2 hooks at the bottom of the seatback cover

    16. Attach the 4 hooks to install the cover.

  10. INSTALL POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear Lifter)


    1. Install a nose piece to an air riveter or hand riveter. Then insert the mandrel part of a new φ4 mm rivet into the nose piece.

      Using the air riveter or hand riveter, install the motor with a new rivet.

      Tech Tips

      If the rivet cannot be cut, pull it once and cut it.

      • A003ALIE02

        Do not pry the rivet with the riveter, as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.

      • A003EMHE02

        Confirm that the rivet is seated properly against the motor.

      • Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the motor.

      • Do not leave any space between the rivet head and motor.

      • A003CRNE02

        Do not leave any space between the motor and seat adjuster. Firmly hold together the 2 items while installing the rivet.

      Using the air riveter or hand riveter, install 2 new rivets.

      Tech Tips

      If the rivet cannot be cut, pull it once and cut it.

        Do not pry the rivet with the riveter, as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.

        Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the seat adjuster.

      • Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the seat adjuster.

      • Do not leave any space between the rivet head and seat adjuster.

      • A003CRNE02

        Do not leave any space between the seat adjuster and motor. Firmly hold together the 2 items while installing the rivet.

  11. INSTALL POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Front Vertical)


    1. Install a nose piece to an air riveter or hand riveter. Then insert the mandrel part of a new φ4 mm rivet into the nose piece.

        Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the front seat adjuster.

        Do not leave any space between the motor with bracket and front seat adjuster. Firmly hold together the 2 items while installing the rivet.

    5. A00OJWA

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the bolt.

      Torque:
      25 N*m  { 255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }
    6. A00ONCU

      Install the shield bracket with the 3 screws.

    7. Connect the connector.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the peeling paper from a new cushion heater.

    2. A003C0C

      Install the cushion heater to a new front seat cushion pad.

  13. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A010GGQ

      Attach the hooks to install the seat cushion cover.

  14. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Attach the hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

    2. Connect the connectors.

    3. A010MAE

      for Driver Side:

      Attach the wire harness clamp.

    4. for Passenger Side:


      1. A010LZM

        Attach the 2 hooks to install the connector holder.

    5. A010KJ1

      Install a new cable tie.

    6. A010IVJ

      Connect the connector.

    7. A010GND

      Attach the 2 rubber bands.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips


    • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

    • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

      Install the front seat inner belt with the nut.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 418 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

    2. for Driver Side:

      Connect the connector and attach the clamps.

    3. for Passenger Side:

      Connect the connectors and attach the clamps.

  16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

    2. Attach the hook to install the cushion shield.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

  17. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH

      Connect the connector.

    2. Install the switch with the 3 screws.

  18. INSTALL FRONT LUMBAR POWER SEAT SWITCH (for Driver Side)

      Install the switch with the 2 screws.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD

      Attach the 2 claws to install the shield.

  20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH WITH FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD

      for Driver Side:

      Connect the connector.

      Attach the hook to install the front seat cushion shield LH with front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

    4. A010KW3

      Attach the 2 claws and install the 2 screws.

  21. INSTALL SLIDE & VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. A010LMY

      Attach the 4 claws to install the knob.

  22. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

      Attach the 2 claws to install the knob.
