B2090 Driving Support System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU receives collision information from the driving support ECU and skid control ECU via CAN communication, and tightens the seat belt by operating the motor inside the front seat outer belt.

When the driving support ECU detects a malfunction in the dynamic radar cruise control system, lane-keeping assist system or pre-crash safety system (Pre-Crash 2), the malfunction information is sent to the seat belt control ECU, which stores this DTC.

When DTC B2090 is stored, other DTCs stored by the driving support ECU (dynamic radar cruise control system, lane-keeping assist system and Pre-Crash 2) also are stored.

B2090 During the initial check, while the ignition switch is ON or while the pre-crash safety system is operating, the driving support ECU detects a malfunction in the dynamic radar cruise control system, lane-keeping assist system or pre-crash safety system (Pre-Crash 2) for 1 second or more.

Tech Tips

When clearing the DTCs, first clear the DTCs output from the driving support ECU, and then clear the DTCs output from the seat belt control ECU.
