METER / GAUGE SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. INSPECT INDICATOR/WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check the following indicators and warning lights.

      Indicator/Warning Light Switch Condition Specified Condition
      ABS warning light Ignition switch off → ON Comes on for 3 seconds
      SLIP indicator light
      AFS OFF indicator light*1
      PARK warning light
      Brake system warning light (Yellow indicator)
      Brake system warning light (Red indicator)
      PCS warning light*2
      Eco Driving Indicator Light*3
      SRS warning light Ignition switch off → ON Comes on for 6 seconds
      CHARGE warning light Ignition switch off → ON Illuminates when ignition switch turned to ON Turns off when engine started
      EPS warning light
      MIL

      *1: w/ Adaptive Front-lighting System

      *2: w/ Pre-crash Safety System

      *3: for Automatic Transaxle

  2. INSPECT SPEEDOMETER


    1. Using a speedometer tester, check that the speedometer reading is within the allowable range shown in the table below. Also, check for proper operation of the odometer.

      If the result is not as specified, the speedometer may have a malfunction.

      Note

      Do not use worn, underinflated or overinflated tires, as the speedometer reading will be inaccurate.

    2. Check the deflection width of the speedometer indicator.

    3. INSPECT TACHOMETER


      1. Connect a tune-up tachometer and start the engine.

      2. Compare the test results with the tachometer indicator.

    4. If the result is not as specified, the tachometer may have a malfunction.

    5. INSPECT METER/GAUGE


      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

    6. INSPECT WARNING/INDICATOR LIGHT


      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      2. Perform the Active Test Click here.
