  • "Engine" is not displayed on "Bus Check".


  • "ECM Communication Stop Mode" in "DTC Combination Table" applies.


  • Power source or inside ECM

  • Harness or connector

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

    1. Disconnect the A40 and B39 ECM connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B39-44 (E02) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      B39-45 (E01) - Body ground
      B39-46 (E05) - Body ground
      B39-84 (ME01) - Body ground
      B39-109 (E1) - Body ground
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A40-2 (BATT) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      A40-20 (+B2) - Body ground Battery positive (+) voltage applied to terminal A40-45 (MREL)
