INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK LOCK FUNCTION OF GENERATOR PULLEY


    1. Check the lock function with the pulley installed to the vehicle.


      1. Visually check that the rotor in the generator operates with the engine started.

    2. Check the lock function with the pulley removed from the vehicle.


      1. Remove the generator pulley cap. Using SST, hold the generator rotor Click here.

      2. Turn the pulley clockwise and check that the outer ring locks.

    REPLACE GENERATOR PULLEY Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK GENERATOR PULLEY FOR LOOSENESS


    1. Start the engine and visually check the pulley for looseness.

      OK
      The pulley is not loose.

    NG

    TIGHTEN GENERATOR PULLEY TO SPECIFIED TORQUE Click here

    OK

    REPLACE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY Click here
