TOYOTA PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM Reverse Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning ECU receives a reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch assembly*1 or back-up light switch assembly*2.

  1. CHECK CLEARANCE WARNING ECU (REVERSE SIGNAL)

      Disconnect the D65 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D65-8 (RL) - Body ground Ignition switch ON, shift lever in R 11 to 14 V
      D65-8 (RL) - Body ground Ignition switch ON, shift lever not in R Below 1 V

      Disconnect the D65 ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the B5 switch connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      D65-8 (RL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
