DESCRIPTION

The electric parking brake ECU receives vehicle wheel speed information from the skid control ECU via CAN communication.

C13A9/61 The safety critical CAN signals from the brake control system for the electric parking brake control cycle are consecutively set to invalid or missing for a specified time.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • Before performing work, turn the ignition switch off and wait approximately 20 seconds to make sure that the parking brake cannot operate.

  • When replacing the parking brake with bracket actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration Click here.
