DTC Code DTC Name
U0073/94 Control Module Communication Bus OFF
U0100/65 Lost Communication with ECM / PCM
U0123/62 Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module
U0126/63 Lost Communication with Steering Angle Sensor Module

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU receives the signals from the ECM, steering angle sensor and yaw rate sensor via the CAN communication system.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
U0073/94

When any of the following is detected:

  1. With the IG1 terminal voltage at 10 V or higher, after the output of data from the skid control ECU is completed, the sending operation continues for 5 seconds or more.

  2. The bus OFF state occurs once or more within 100 ms 10 times in succession (sent signals cannot be received).

  3. With the IG1 terminal voltage 10 V or higher, a delay in receiving data from the yaw rate sensor and steering angle sensor continues for 1 second or more.

  4. With the IG1 terminal voltage 10 V or higher, the following occurs 10 times in succession.

    • A delay in receiving data from the yaw rate sensor occurs more than once within 5 seconds.

U0100/65

When all conditions below are detected:

  1. IG1 terminal voltage is at 10 V or higher.

  2. The vehicle speed is 15 km/h (9 mph) or more.

  3. Data cannot be sent to or received from the ECM for 2 seconds or more.

When either of the following is detected:

  1. With the IG1 terminal voltage at 10 V or higher, data from the yaw rate sensor cannot be received for 1 second or more.

  2. With the IG1 terminal voltage at 10 V or higher, the following occurs 10 times in succession within 60 seconds.

    • Data from the yaw rate sensor cannot be received once or more within 5 seconds.

U0126/63

When either of the following is detected:

  1. With the IG1 terminal voltage at 10 V or higher, data from the steering angle sensor cannot be received for 1 second or more.

  2. With the IG1 terminal voltage at 10 V or higher, the following occurs 10 times in succession within 60 seconds.

    • Data from the steering angle sensor cannot be received once or more within 5 seconds.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MOMENTARY INTERRUPTION)

    1. Using the intelligent tester, check for any momentary interruption in the wire harnesses and connectors corresponding to the DTC Click here.

  3. RECONFIRM DTC

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Record the output DTCs (for ABS, VSC, and CAN communication) Click here.

      Tech Tips

If CAN communication system DTCs and the relevant sensor DTCs are output simultaneously, troubleshoot the relevant sensor DTCs (for ABS and VSC) after the CAN communication system returns to normal.

  5. RECONFIRM DTC

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Start the engine.

    4. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 15 km/h (9 mph) or more and turn the steering wheel to the right and left.

    5. Check that no CAN communication system DTC is output Click here.

      Tech Tips

If ABS and VSC DTCs are output, record them.
