REAR AXLE HUB BOLT REPLACEMENT

  • Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the disc brake cylinder assembly LH Click here.

  2. REMOVE REAR DISC

      *1 Matchmark

      Place matchmarks on the disc and axle hub.

    2. Remove the rear disc.

  3. REPLACE REAR AXLE HUB BOLT

      *1 Nut

      Temporarily install 2 nuts and 2 washers to 2 rear axle hub bolts as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using SST and a brass bar or an equivalent tool to hold the hub and bearing assembly, remove the rear axle hub bolt.

    3. A00EB0QE02

      *1 Washer
      *2 Nut

      Install a washer and nut to a new rear axle hub bolt as shown in the illustration.

    4. Using a brass bar or an equivalent tool to hold the hub and bearing assembly, install the rear axle hub bolt by tightening the nut.

  4. INSTALL REAR DISC

      Align the matchmarks of the disc and axle hub and install the disc.

      Note

      When replacing the disc with a new one, select the installation position where the rear disc has minimal runout.
