MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL REAR ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. A00ORWQ

      Install the rear engine mounting bracket with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      45 N*m  { 459 kgf*cm, 33 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. A00OTRB

      Install the front engine mounting bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      64 N*m  { 653 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH


    1. A00OVD3

      Install the engine mounting bracket LH with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      64 N*m  { 653 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Align the input shaft with the clutch disc and install the transaxle to the engine.

      Note

      Make sure that the dowel pins are not loose, bent, damaged or scratched and then install the transaxle to the engine with the contact surfaces of the engine and transaxle flat against each other.

      Install the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      Bolt A
      46 N*m  { 469 kgf*cm, 34 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt B
      64 N*m  { 653 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Make sure that the dowel pins are fully engaged, and make sure that the contact surface of the transaxle fits close against the engine assembly before tightening the bolts.

  5. INSTALL STIFFENER PLATE RH


    1. A00ORJC

      Install the stiffener plate RH with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      46 N*m  { 469 kgf*cm, 34 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL STIFFENER PLATE LH


    1. A00OQIR

      Install the stiffener plate LH with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      46 N*m  { 469 kgf*cm, 34 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL OIL PAN INSULATOR


    1. A00OV7X

      Install the oil pan insulator with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      9.0 N*m  { 92 kgf*cm, 80 in.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL ENGINE WIRE

    A00OT3W

    1. Connect the neutral position switch connector and back-up light switch connector, install the 2 bolts, and attach the 3 clamps to install the engine wire to the manual transaxle.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL AIR TUBE SUPPORT


    1. A00OQWF

      Install the air tube support with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      30 N*m  { 306 kgf*cm, 22 ft.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY


    1. A00EALU

      Install the starter with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      64 N*m  { 653 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the starter wire with the nut and close the terminal cap.

      Torque:
      9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the starter connector.

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR TUBE


    1. A00OVM9

      Install the No. 1 air tube with the 2 bolts and tighten the clamp.

      Torque:
      for bolt
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
      for clamp
      6.5 N*m  { 66 kgf*cm, 58 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Before installation, remove any oil residue from the inside of the tube and hose.

  12. INSTALL REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR


    1. A00OU9U

      Install the rear engine mounting insulator with the 3 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      95 N*m  { 969 kgf*cm, 70 ft.*lbf }
