RELAY (w/ PTC Heater) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. REMOVE PTC HEATER RELAY

    *1 PTC No. 1 Relay
    *2 PTC No. 2 Relay
    *3 PTC No. 3 Relay

    1. Remove the 3 PTC heater relays from the engine room No. 2 relay block.

  2. INSPECT PTC HEATER RELAY

    A00OKV5E97

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      • If the result is not as specified, replace the PTC heater relay.

  3. INSTALL PTC HEATER RELAY

    1. Install the 3 PTC heater relays to the engine room No. 2 relay block.
