HEATER EXHAUST PIPE INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL HEAT EXCHANGER UNIT GASKET


    1. A003DQR

      Install 2 new heat exchanger unit gaskets.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A00OUV0

      Install the No. 2 exhaust pipe sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL HEATER WITH EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. A00OU7F

      Install the heater with exhaust pipe assembly with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }
    2. A00OU91

      Attach the clamp.

    3. Install the 3 clips.

    4. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A00ORZOE01

      Install the No. 1 exhaust pipe sub-assembly with the 2 nuts labeled <A>.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the nut labeled <B>.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 77 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL AIR DUCT


    1. A00OVTM

      Install the air duct with the clip.

  6. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the outer cowl top panel with the 9 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.8 N*m  { 90 kgf*cm, 78 in.*lbf }

    2. Attach the clamp and connect the connector.

  7. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for DPF)

      Connect the 2 vacuum hoses.

      Note

      Connect the vacuum hoses so that the painted marks of the 2 vacuum hoses are as shown in the illustration.

    2. A003ASH

      Install the sensor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the sensor connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

  8. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY


    1. A00OJDC

      Move the wiper motor and link in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to attach the wiper cushion to the body and install the wiper motor and link.

    2. A00OIUJ

      Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    3. A00OIY3

      Connect the connector and attach the clamp to install the wire harness to the cowl top panel.

  9. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH


    1. A00OI4V

      Attach the 5 claws to install the cowl top ventilator louver LH.

    2. Install the clip.

  10. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH


    1. A00OLOR

      Attach the 8 claws to install the cowl top ventilator louver RH.

    2. Install the clip.

  11. INSTALL HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL


    1. A00OKSF

      Attach the 6 clips and 2 claws to install the hood to cowl top seal.

  12. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Operate the wiper and stop the front wiper motor and link at the automatic stop position.

      Clean the wiper arm serrations.

    3. When reusing the front wiper motor and link assembly:


      1. Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.

      Install the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH to the position shown in the illustration with the nut.

      Torque:
      26 N*m  { 265 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Hold the arm hinge by hand when tightening the nut.

      Area Specified Condition
      A 29.4 to 44.4 mm (1.16 to 1.75 in.)
      B 36.3 to 51.3 mm (1.43 to 2.02 in.)

  13. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Operate the wiper and stop the front wiper motor and link at the automatic stop position.

      Tech Tips

      Hold the arm hinge by hand when tightening the nut.

      B 29.4 to 44.4 mm (1.16 to 1.75 in.)

    5. Operate the front wipers while spraying washer fluid on the windshield glass. Make sure that the front wipers function properly and the wipers do not come into contact with the vehicle body.

  14. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

      Install the front wiper arm head cap.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for all front wiper arm head caps.

  15. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER


    1. Attach the 4 clips to install the No. 1 engine cover.
