EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR (for DPF) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

      Hold the rear of the cover and slowly raise it to detach the clip on the rear of the cover. Continue to raise the cover to detach the 3 clips on the front and side of the cover and remove the cover.

      Note

      Attempting to disengage both front and rear clips at the same time may cause the cover to break.

  2. REMOVE EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    Note

    If the sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      Detach the sensor connector clamp.

    2. Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, remove the sensor.

  3. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE NO. 4 MANIFOLD CONVERTER INSULATOR

      Remove the 4 bolts and No. 4 manifold converter insulator.

  5. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

      Remove the bolt, nut and manifold stay.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 manifold stay.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD STAY

      Remove the 2 bolts, nut and No. 2 exhaust manifold stay.

  8. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. A00OT0Q

      Remove the 3 nuts and exhaust manifold converter.

    3. Remove the gasket from the turbocharger.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    Note

    If the sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      Detach the sensor connector clamp.

    2. Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, loosen the union nut.

    3. Remove the nut, clamp and sensor.

  10. REMOVE NO. 3 EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

    Note

    If the sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      Detach the sensor connector clamp.

    2. Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, remove the sensor.
