ECM INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL ECM


    1. Install the 2 brackets to the ECM with the 4 screws.

      Torque:
      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }
    2. Install the ECM with bracket with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
    3. A010NWO

      Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.

      Note


      • When connecting the connector, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter is not stuck between the connector and ECM.

      • Make sure that the 2 levers are securely lowered.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET


    1. Install the No. 2 air cleaner inlet with the bolt.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }
  3. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET


    1. Install the No. 1 air cleaner inlet with the clip.

  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A010O7W

      Remove the 3 bolts and air cleaner case.

  5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A010OJ5

      Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.

    2. Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose.

    3. Disconnect the air cleaner hose.

    4. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap.

  7. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER


    1. Install the radiator support opening cover with the 7 clips.

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER


    1. Attach the 4 clips to install the No. 1 engine cover.

  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  10. PERFORM REGISTRATION


    1. Perform learning values write.


  11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION


    1. Perform the supply pump initialization procedure.


  12. PERFORM THROTTLE VALVE FULLY CLOSED POSITION LEARNING

    Tech Tips

    Be sure to turn off the ignition switch before performing this procedure.


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Turn the ignition switch off and wait 10 seconds.

      Tech Tips

      The fully closed position of the diesel throttle valve is learned when the ignition switch is turned off.
