SPEED LIMITER SYSTEM PRECAUTION


  1. IGNITION SWITCH EXPRESSION

    The type of ignition switch used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.

  2. HANDLING PRECAUTION FOR SPEED LIMITER SYSTEM


    1. Turn the warning canceling switch off when not using the speed limiter system.

    2. Be careful as the vehicle speed increases when driving downhill with the speed limiter system on.

    3. The RESUME/ACCEL operation changes according to the speed limiter system status. When the speed limiter system is operating, ACCEL operates. When the speed limiter system is not operating, RESUME operates.

    4. When the speed limiter system is operating and the speed limiter indicator light blinks, turn the warning canceling switch off to reset the speed limiter system. After the reset, if the warning canceling switch cannot be turned on, or the speed limiter system is canceled immediately after turning the warning canceling switch on, the system may have a malfunction.

    5. Do not use the speed limiter system where the road conditions are as follows:


      • Steep downhill

      • Roads with sharp turns

      • Icy or snowy roads

      • Slippery roads

    6. Do not use the speed limiter system when the vehicle is towing a trailer, etc.
