  1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

    1. Remove the 7 clips and radiator support opening cover.

  3. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

      Возьмитесь сзади за крышку и поднимите ее, чтобы разъединить 2 задних фиксатора крышки. Продолжайте поднимать крышку так, чтобы освободить 2 передних фиксатора крышки, после чего снимите крышку.

      Note

      Попытка освободить задние и передние фиксаторы за один прием может привести к поломке крышки.

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    2. Отсоедините жгут проводов от 2 зажимов.

    3. Отсоедините 2 зажима.

    4. Отсоедините шланг вентиляции.

    5. Ослабьте хомут и снимите крышку воздушного фильтра.

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Detach the wire harness clamp from the air cleaner case.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and air cleaner case.

  8. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the ground wires.

    2. Disconnect the 4 fuel injector connectors.

    3. Disconnect the 2 wire harness clamps.

    4. Disconnect the 4 wire harness clamps.

    5. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 wire harness brackets.

  9. REMOVE AIR TUBE

    1. Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose from the purge VSV.

    2. Disconnect the union to connector tube hose.

    3. A00OLUF

      Disconnect the No. 1 vacuum transmitting hose and No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts and air tube.

  10. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the No. 2 fuel pipe clamp.

    2. Wipe off any dirt on the fuel tube connector.

    3. Hold the fuel tube connector and install SST.

    4. Turn SST to align the retainer inside the fuel tube connector with the chamfered part of SST.

    5. Insert SST into the fuel tube and hold it. Then push the fuel tube connector toward SST.

    6. Mount the retainer of the fuel tube connector onto the chamfered part of SST.

      Slide SST and the fuel tube connector together towards the fuel tube until they make a "click" sound, and then disconnect the fuel tube.

    8. Drain the fuel remaining inside the fuel tube.

    9. Cover the fuel tube and fuel pipe with a plastic bag to protect the disconnected parts.

  11. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the bolt and wire harness bracket.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Remove the bolt and fuel delivery pipe.

    4. Remove the 2 No. 1 delivery pipe spacers.

  12. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Pull the 4 fuel injector assemblies out of the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.

    2. For reinstallation, attach a tag or label to the injector shaft.

      Note

      Prevent entry of foreign objects by covering the fuel injector with plastic bags.

    3. Remove the 4 injector vibration insulators.
