for Manual Transaxle:

When the transaxle is removed, be sure to use a new clutch release with bearing cylinder and new installation bolts. Removal of the transaxle allows the compressed clutch release with bearing cylinder to return to its original position, and dust could damage the seal of the clutch release with bearing cylinder, possibly causing clutch fluid leaks.

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE

    1. Remove the engine assembly with transaxle Click here.

  2. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

    1. Remove the manual transaxle assembly Click here.

  3. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

    1. Remove the automatic transaxle assembly Click here.

  4. REMOVE CLUTCH COVER ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

    1. Нанесите метки на кожух сцепления в сборе и маховик в сборе.

    2. Ослабьте все установочные болты, отворачивая их на один оборот за раз в порядке, показанном на рисунке, пока не ослабнет натяжение пружины.

    3. Выверните установочные болты и снимите кожух сцепления.

      Note

      Будьте осторожны, не уроните ведомый диск сцепления в сборе.

  5. REMOVE CLUTCH DISC ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

  6. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE WITH BEARING CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

    1. Remove the clutch release with bearing cylinder assembly Click here.

  7. REMOVE FLYWHEEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

    1. Using SST, hold the crankshaft.

    2. Remove the 8 bolts and flywheel.

  8. REMOVE DRIVE PLATE AND RING GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

    1. Using SST, hold the crankshaft.

    2. Remove the 8 bolts, rear spacer, drive plate and front spacer.

  9. REMOVE ENGINE REAR OIL SEAL

    1. Using a knife, cut off the lip of the oil seal.

    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with tape, pry out the oil seal.

      Note

      • Do not damage the surface of the oil seal press fit hole or the crankshaft.

      • After removing the oil seal, check the crankshaft for damage. If damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
