SLIDING ROOF HOUSING REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ROOF WIND DEFLECTOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

    2. Engage the 2 springs as shown in the illustration to install the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly .

      Note

      Make sure that the springs are securely installed.

      Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, slide the sliding roof drive cable LH to foremost position as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    5. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, slide the sliding roof drive cable LH and lower it to the fully tilted down position as shown in the illustration.

  2. ADJUST FULLY CLOSED POSITION

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, slide the sliding roof drive cable LH in either direction and align the alignment marks as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  3. INSTALL SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the sunshade trim sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the No. 2 sunshade trim sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Install the sliding roof sunshade stopper as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  5. INSTALL SLIDE ROOF DRAIN HOSE JOINT LH

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new slide roof drain hose joint LH as shown in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL SLIDE ROOF DRAIN HOSE JOINT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL REAR ROOF DRIP CHANNEL


    1. Insert the rear roof drip channel in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration to temporarily install it.

    2. Slide the rear roof drip channel in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to engage the 2 claws and 4 guides, and install the rear roof drip channel.

  8. INSTALL SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Apply MP grease to the gear of the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

      Install the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }
