SLIDING ROOF HOUSING DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE REAR ROOF DRIP CHANNEL


    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and 4 guides, then slide the rear roof drip channel in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

    2. Pull the rear roof drip channel in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to remove it.

  3. REMOVE SLIDE ROOF DRAIN HOSE JOINT LH

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the slide roof drain hose joint LH as shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE SLIDE ROOF DRAIN HOSE JOINT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the sliding roof sunshade stopper as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    2. Remove the No. 2 sunshade trim sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  6. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the sunshade trim sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  7. REMOVE ROOF WIND DEFLECTOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, slide the sliding roof drive cable LH to the foremost position and lift it to the fully tilted up position as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, slide the sliding roof drive cable LH backward until it comes off the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    4. Pull the spring as shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 springs.

    5. Pull the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides and remove it.
