FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL OUTER BELT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the clip and install the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the floor carpet.

    3. Engage the guide.

    4. Install the clip.

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY


    1. B00761FN01

      Temporarily install the front seat outer belt assembly with the 2 bolts.

    2. Fully tighten the bolt (A) first, then the bolt (B) to install front seat outer belt assembly.

      Torque:
      Bolt (A)
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt (B)
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      *a Locking Button
      *b Lock

      Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Securely lock the locking button.

    4. Connect the connector.

    5. Connect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    6. Check that the ELR locks.

      Note

      The check should be performed with the front seat outer belt assembly installed to the vehicle.


      1. With the front seat outer belt assembly installed to the vehicle, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly.

  4. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH ASSEMBLY

  5. INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

  7. CONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

  8. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      *a Tongue Plate
      *b Floor Anchor

      Connect the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly with the nut as shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      When connecting the floor anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly, make sure that the tongue plate is facing the front of the vehicle.

  9. INSTALL LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER


    1. Engage the guide.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the lap belt outer anchor cover.

  10. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

  11. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

  12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

  13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  14. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
