SEAT HEATER SYSTEM Seat Heater for Front Left Seat does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

When the refreshing seat switch is operated, the air conditioning amplifier assembly receives the signal. The air conditioning amplifier assembly receives the signal and operates the front seat heater.

Note


  • If the battery voltage is low, the seat heater system may not operate. When "Operation of Electrical Items Restricted." is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly, inspect the battery, referring to On-vehicle Inspection for the charging system.

  • If the battery voltage is low, the seat heater system may not operate. When "Operation of Electrical Items Restricted." is not displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly, check the Data List item "Battery Control Count (Body ECU)".

      Disconnect the b7 front seat cushion pad with cover LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      b7-2 (B1L) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      b7-2 (B1L) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD WITH COVER LH)


    1. Disconnect the O10 and O9 air conditioning amplifier assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O9-16 (SHD+) - b7-5 (SWL) Always Below 1 Ω
      O9-16 (SHD+) or b7-5 (SWL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O10-19 (TSL) - b7-1 (THL) Always Below 1 Ω
      O10-19 (TSL) or b7-1 (THL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O10-35 (SG-4) - b7-7 (PL) Always Below 1 Ω
      O10-35 (SG-4) or b7-7 (PL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
