If the hood release lever is pulled after the pop up hood lifter assemblies have been deployed, the hood may rise more.

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.

Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET

REMOVE POP UP HOOD LIFTER ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
When storing the pop up hood lifter assembly, keep the deployment side facing upward.
Check that the engine switch is off.
Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

Place a matchmark at the position where the pop up hood lifter assembly is installed as shown in the illustration.
Remove the 2 bolts and separate the pop up hood lifter assembly.

Slide |
Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA. (At this time, the connector cannot be disconnected yet.)
Push down the white housing lock again and disconnect the connector to remove the pop up hood lifter assembly.
Note
Do not push down the part (A) shown in the illustration when disconnecting the connector.
