This DTC is stored when a microphone signal line is disconnected.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 20 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

  2. INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER

      Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY))


    1. Disconnect the O150 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the W4 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O150-33 (MCVD) - W4-4 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      O150-34 (MCI+) - W4-3 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      O150-35 (MCI-) - W4-2 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      O150-33 (MCVD) or W4-4 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O150-34 (MCI+) or W4-3 (MCO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O150-35 (MCI-) or W4-2 (MCO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O150-32 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Remove the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly).

  5. REPLACE TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the telephone microphone assembly with a new or known good one.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
