Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE BATTERY (for LHD)
SEPARATE NO. 2 ENGINE WIRE (for LHD)
Remove the bolt and separate the No. 2 engine wire.
REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)
REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT INLET HEATER WATER HOSE A
DISCONNECT OUTLET HEATER WATER HOSE A
DISCONNECT UNION TO CONNECTOR TUBE HOSE (for RHD)
Slide the clip and disconnect the union to connector tube hose from the vacuum pump assembly.
DISCONNECT NO. 12 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 12 water by-pass hose from the No. 2 water by-pass pipe.
SEPARATE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE
Remove the bolt and separate the No. 2 water by-pass pipe.
REMOVE VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY
Remove the 3 bolts and vacuum pump assembly from the engine assembly.

Remove the No. 2 O-ring and No. 3 O-ring from the vacuum pump assembly.
