VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1436

DTC Code DTC Name
C1436 Malfunction in Yaw Rate Sensor

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor via CAN communication.

If there is a malfunction in the bus lines between the yaw rate and acceleration sensor and the CAN communication system, DTC U0124 (Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) is stored.

This DTC is also output when calibration has not been completed.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1436 Malfunction in Yaw Rate Sensor

Either of the following is detected:

  1. With the vehicle stationary, the yaw rate sensor output value is not 0°/s.

  2. Abnormal comparison value.

  • Improper yaw rate sensor (yaw rate and acceleration sensor) installation

  • Yaw rate sensor (yaw rate and acceleration sensor)

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When replacing or reinstalling the yaw rate and acceleration sensor, perform zero point calibration and store system information after clearing previously calibrated data.
