AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM(for 8AR-FTS), Diagnostic DTC:P076A7F

DTC Code DTC Name
P076A7F Shift Solenoid "H" Control Actuator Stuck Off

DESCRIPTION

Based on signals from the transmission revolution sensors (NT, NC3 and SP2), the actual gear is detected.

If the detected gear is different than the commanded gear, the ECM detects related mechanical problems in the shift solenoid valves, transmission valve body assembly and automatic transmission assembly (clutch, brake, gear, etc.).

  1. Engine coolant temperature is 40°C (104°F) or more, ATF temperature is -10°C (14°F) or more, and the vehicle is driven with D1 or M1 range (1st gear) (no malfunctions are detected in solenoid (SL1, SL2, SL3, SL4, SL5, SC1 and SC2) valves, transmission revolution sensors (NT, NC3, SP2), water temperature sensor, oil temperature sensor, knock control sensor, electronic throttle, or CAN2)

  2. When the ECM commands the transmission to shift to 1st gear, the actual gear changes to 3rd gear.

  3. Malfunction status continues for 0.6 seconds or more

  4. 2-trip detection logic

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

This DTC indicates a "stuck OFF" malfunction of the solenoid (SC1) valve.

The ECM commands gear shifts by turning the shift solenoid valves on or off. When the gear commanded by the ECM and the actual gear are not the same, the ECM illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

Perform registration and/or initialization when parts related to the automatic transmission are replaced.

Tech Tips

After performing repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.

  1. While the vehicle is being driven, move the shift lever to M, select the M1 (1st gear) range and perform an engine brake.

  2. Check for DTCs again.
